Laying Down the Burdens
In order to “hear” this weekend, we must be intentional about releasing those things that are weighing us down. We must pause and take a moment to BREATHE.
– Choose from interactive breakouts to tend to your mind, soul and body
Friday, October 31, 2025
Plenary 1: From Desire to Discipline
Do you ever feel stuck between inspiration and action? You sense God stirring something in your heart a change, a calling, a step of obedience but taking that first move feels overwhelming or unclear. Then sometimes we make the first move but find ourselves stuck, because we do not have the discipline to sustain the vision. This plenary is designed to help you move from hesitation to holy momentum utilizing biblical principles.
Workshop 1: Breaking Down Barriers to Action (Clergy Only)
As clergy, we are called to lead by example. Yet many of us are not living out our full purpose or potential because we feel stuck. In this session, you will identify and name the fears, doubts, overthinking, and perfectionism that hold you back—and learn how to dismantle them through “spiritual self-talk” and by embracing the promises of God.
Workshop 2: Cultivating Holy Habits
How do we align our physical and mental well-being with the purpose God has for our lives? This workshop explores spiritual rhythms and practices that keep your heart centered on God’s direction, helping you walk steadily instead of stalling on the journey.
Workshop 3: Faithfulness in the Small Steps
Progress is not always about big leaps—it’s about consistent obedience in the small things. In this session, you’ll reframe progress through a biblical lens and discover how humble faithfulness opens the door to greater opportunities and lasting transformation. You’ll also learn how to identify the right “small steps” and create a practical “Nehemiah Plan” to move forward with purpose.
Workshop 4: Money Management as a Spiritual Discipline
Our view of money often limits our ability to fully live into God’s purpose. This session will help you examine how you think about money and equip you to practice money management as a spiritual discipline. Learn how to discipline your finances so that your money works for you—rather than you working for it.
Plenary 2: “Making Sense of the World in which God Calls Us to Act”
This session affirms that God is both the initiator and sustainer of our purpose-driven action. Whether in ministry or in the marketplace, we are co-laborers with God in fulfilling His purpose for our lives and His people. Together we will ask: How can we position our ministries, our callings, and our vocations to answer the clarion call to impact the least, the last, and the lost—especially within today’s climate of disenfranchisement, deportation, and the dismantling of social support systems?
Workshop 1: Kingdom Impact in a Broken World — Serving the Least, the Last, and the Lost
This workshop will explore contemporary issues affecting God’s people and guide participants in developing an “impact blueprint” for meaningful engagement. We will consider how to integrate ministries of evangelism and social action within this blueprint to bring holistic transformation to our communities.
Workshop 2: Building Sustainable Ministry & Marketplace Models
The next generation needs Spirit-led strategies to co-labor with God in creating lasting impact. This workshop focuses on how to:
-
Build and sustain community partnerships and collaborations
-
Develop advocacy strategies and faith-driven action plans
-
Form intentional prayer groups dedicated to intercession for kingdom impact
-
Identify resources such as grants and discretionary funding to support ministry efforts
Jesus calls us to bear fruit that remains—this session equips you to do just that.
Workshop 3: Language Matters (Clergy Only)
As clergy, our words carry weight and power. We echo the voice of God, dismantling silence, shifting paradigms, and stirring sacred conversations. In this workshop, you will learn how to:
-
Inspire thoughtful discourse and righteous action from the pulpit
-
Strengthen sermons, Bible studies, and public engagement through biblical and theological language
-
Use words that spark transformation in both church and community
Our words matter—this workshop helps us speak them faithfully.
Workshop 4: I’m Willing to Help, but My Heart is Unavailable
Many of us want to serve and be part of the solution, yet find ourselves unable to fully engage. Sometimes this comes from unresolved trauma, emotional exhaustion, or disengagement from our own healing. This session explores how to:
-
Acknowledge and address the barriers that keep us from serving wholeheartedly
-
Embrace personal wholeness as a path to effective ministry
-
Draw others toward healing through the overflow of our own restored hearts

THE V.O.W.: Vision Mapping – Oil Preparation – Wellness Commitment
Do you ever feel stuck between inspiration and action? You sense God stirring something in your heart a change, a calling, a step of obedience but taking that first move feels overwhelming or unclear. Then sometimes we make the first move but find ourselves stuck, because we do not have the discipline to sustain the vision. This plenary is designed to help you move from hesitation to holy momentum utilizing biblical principles.
Women’s VOW Gathering
On Saturday, all women are invited to make a VOW—a sacred commitment to continue the good work God has begun in each of us and to fulfill His purpose for our lives.
Participants will complete a series of workshops designed to move vision into action. At the close of the sessions, we will gather together and make a written covenant to affirm and fulfill these VOWs.
• Vision Mapping for Action
Vision mapping is a tool that will help one clarify, visualize, and organize how their God-given purpose or calling translates into concrete goals and actions. It’s both spiritual and practical. It requires one to answer the questions: What has God placed in my heart? What burden or mission burns within me? Every attendee will be paired with an Accountability Sister in Christ to support their journey into action.
• Oil for Action
Traditionally, individuals called and chosen by God were anointed with holy oil prior to being sent forth to fulfill their mission or deliver God’s message. In this session, we will prepare anointing oil following the guidelines outlined in Exodus 30.
• Wellness for Action
Throughout Scripture, God calls God’s people to observe sacred rest. This workshop will help participants rediscover the gift of Sabbath and sacred rhythms of life that nurture intimacy with God, restore wholeness, and sustain long-term ministry and marketplace engagement. Recognize how busyness, burnout, and cultural pressures disconnect us from God’s design for rest and explore practical ways to weave rhythms of rest, prayer, and renewal into our daily lives to sustain the work.
