Women Who Minister Conference – Frequently Asked Questions
Registration opens at 12:00pm on Thursday. Conference starts at 2:00pm on Thursday.
Conference ends at 2:00pm on Saturday.
- What should I expect?
You can expect three days of powerful worship, dynamic teaching, informative workshops, heart-warming fellowship, and satisfying refreshing in God’s presence. There will be opportunities to connect with other women in ministry, receive impartation, and leave encouraged, equipped, and empowered. - What should I bring?
We encourage you to bring your Bible and an open heart, ready to receive. In addition, conference vendors will be offering a variety of inspirational resources and gift items. If you would like to take advantage of these opportunities, please plan to bring funds for purchase.
- What should I wear?
Our official conference colors are green, gold, and ivory. Wearing any of these colors – or combination thereof – would add to the celebration. Daytime sessions are typically casual to business casual, and evening services may lean toward dressier attire. On Friday evening, October 31st, we will be celebrating our 10-year anniversary in grand style, so dress to impress! Since hotel and conference spaces can be cool, we recommend bringing a sweater or a light jacket. Bring a bathing suit if you would like to join us for some fitness in the pool or take advantage of the sauna. - Where can I get the bus?
The bus departs from Berean Baptist Church, located at 1635 Bergen Street (between Utica and Rochester avenues). The bus will depart at 10:00am on Thursday and return to the church approximately 4:00pm on Saturday. The cost to take the bus is $40. You must register to take the bus by October 20th.
- How do I get there if I can’t take the bus from Brooklyn?
The Heritage Hotel and Conference Center is located at 522 Heritage Road, Southbury, CT 06488. If you are not riding the charter bus from Brooklyn, you may drive, carpool, or use a ride-share service. Amtrak and Metro-North trains also run from New York City to nearby stations (such as Waterbury, CT), where you can arrange a taxi or ride-share to the hotel. Note: If you are taking the bus from Brooklyn, it departs at 10:00am from Berean. - Can I bring my child(ren)?
The WWM conference is designed to be a sacred time set apart for women to be refreshed, renewed, and fully present without the responsibilities of everyday life. To honor that intention and ensure an atmosphere free from distraction for all attendees, we kindly ask that you make childcare arrangements in advance. This way, you and every woman present can experience the conference in its fullness, uninterrupted. Thank you for understanding and helping us create this special environment. - Can I still attend the conference if I don’t want to sleep at the hotel?
We encourage full participation for the best experience, but you may attend the conference for $275 without lodging. All conference sessions and workshops in addition to four meals, are included. - How can I get connected to the WWM community prior to the conference?
You can stay connected with other attendees through our Partiful event platform, where updates will be shared, and you can engage with the WWM community leading up to the conference. Links and instructions will be provided after you register. - What if I am interested in vending?
WWM values entrepreneurship and encourages women to showcase their brilliance and creativity. If you are interested in vending, please send an email to womenwhominister.org, and you will receive an application and the relevant fee.
- Can I bring a friend?
We encourage you to invite other sisters to attend the Conference with you. All persons attending the Conference and/or staying in your hotel room must be registered.
