Our Vision

Women Who Minister is a movement of Christian women who are submitted to the leading of the Holy Spirit, committed to their spiritual growth and dedicated to developing their skills for ministry, while living out the fullness of the call God has on their lives. Women Who Minister is intentional about exalting God in our worship, elevating the mind in our teaching and equipping women for service in their churches and communities.

Our History

Women Who Minister is the result of obedience to Habakkuk 2:2, “Write the vision.” In 2014, at the unction of the Holy Spirit, Women Who Minister was conceived. Rev. Marsha penned the instructions for an ecumenical women’s conference that serves women who are in positions of leadership in the church or marketplace. Leadership was not to be defined by the title of CEO or Clergy, but rather by the posture of servanthood to God’s people. In February 2015, she called the Conveners together – women she believed God ordained to lead this ministry. Through prayer and fasting together, WWM’s inaugural conference was held in the Poconos, PA in October 2015. Though the themes, speakers and activities may change, the mission of WWM is consistent – to honor God by equipping women who minister to serve with Wisdom, Holiness and Integrity.

A conference in 2015, today Women Who Minister is a movement. Each year, women gather in the fall to examine their inner self, gain tools for their ministries (in the church or marketplace), spend time marveling at the divine revelation of our Lord in nature. and embrace the spiritual refilling that results from encountering the Holy Spirit.

January 2017 was the beginning of a new tradition – the WWM Annual Prayer Breakfast. This is a gathering of women for a time of prayer and prophetic preaching to discern what God is calling us as individuals and a ministry to accomplish in the year ahead.

In 2019, with a small grant from the Fund for Theological Education, WWM launched the WWM Mentee Program. We are committed to walking alongside the next generation of women who are navigating complex systems to realize their gifts as leaders.

During the pandemic, WWM hosted Table Talks, where women assembled monthly on Zoom for conversations with experts on issues that impact their lives and communities. From how to reopen churches safely to intimacy amid chaos, Table Talks became a space for community during a time of instability and uncertainty.

Women Who Minister is undergirded by the weekly gathering of Conveners to pray for the ministry and the lives of women who have been touched by WWM.
